Meet Tim!
Tim is a first-generation Dartmouth
student from Boston, MA
He can't wait to

Tim is passionate about biology

Tim has a family that bears the financial burden of his loans
Tim's dad Chris is
a first responder
His mom Amy is a
secretary at a
doctor's office
They both are taking up extra shifts to pay for Tim's education
but it still isn't enough
Tim's little sister Avery wants to go to Dartmouth someday like
him, but his family isn't sure if they will be able to pay for her too.
Tim is helping his family pay by doing a work study
He works at the library 10
hours per week
But there's one problem
To meet the required contribution and loan
burden of his financial aid package, Tim takes
on a second job as a barista at Novack
This is what a week in Tim’s life looks like as he tries to balance everything.

He wants to continue helping his family pay them back.
He realizes medical school would further add to this financial burden.
Because of his intense schedule and financial pressures,
Tim drops pre-med
How would this change...
...if Tim's student loans were eliminated?
Time would free up for Tim
